Hey everyone!!! Well i've been working out now for about 3 months before I started working out I was 6'0 199 pounds now im 187-189. The thing is I don't lose weight anymore.. I don't understand why I run pretty much 5-6 days a week and stay on the tred for an hour and do about 5 miles of those 5-6 days burning 1000 calories plus I do a little bit of weight training but I cant seem to lose any fat.. I look the same as I did before I started working out but I dont understand what else I can do.. Should I give it more time? Maybe make the workout on the tred for an hour and a half or what. My family says im having a weight plateu but I dont see how I cant lose weight when I dont drink coke anymore hardly only on weekends I benge and I try to eat as healthy as possible.. Any suggestions?

Your family is right - you are having a weight plateau, within the next couple of weeks you will see the scales going down again, measure yourself with a measuring tape rather than weigh yourself as this will be more accurate. You are still losing weight it's just not reflecting on the scales, your brain has just haltered proceedings until it get use to what's happening with your body (if that makes sense).

It's very normal. Mix up your cardio workouts that way your body won't get use to the same thing over and over and you might have less weight plateaus.

Goodluck with it, try and keep the coke to a minimum!!! :d

You also could be losing fat, and gaining muscle. Therefore no difference on the scales.

Also, looking at yourself in the mirror everyday, you are not going to notice the difference. Just keep going, and do not worry about the weight scales so much.

It is body fat percentage that is important, not your actual weight.

Also, do not even look at the bmi charts, they suck.

Keep Up the Good Work =)
In the beginning of weight loss you will tend to lose a lot of weight, but eventually weight loss will slow down and you will hit a plateau. I wouldnt give up, keep up the good work and eventually you will see results again, they probably will not be as quick and large as your initial results though. I wouldnt go by weight as success, go by size and your body mass %. Especially working out so much and rigorously you're probably adding a lot of muscle mass.
