Aluminum Chloride?
Posted: 10-12-06 15:24pm

Hello,

i know this is going to sound crazy, but lately I have been using certain dri antipersperant on my face. It's main ingredient is aluminum chloride, which clogs pores in order to make them stop releasing sweat. Some how, this has been curing my acne. I am concerened about long term effects of this chemical. Is this okay to continue use on my face?

Acne, Certain Dri
Posted: 11-12-06 19:29pm

In response to the person who puts certain dri on their face for acne, that's so odd for me to hear because I have been using certain dri on my underarms for the past year and half now. Ever since I started using it I would break out and get acne. The longer I used the stuff, the worse it got. My back was totally covered in acne. My chest had it too. I was looking for information about any correlation between the two and all I found was this post that said applying certain dri to the acne can get rid of it. It actually makes sense to me because what it does is it forces your pores shut. I can see how it would get rid of your acne. But, knowing what certain dri has done to my body, the last thing I would want to do is put it on an area of skin that is already inflammed with acne. But, for an acne problem I would definately recommend clear5 acne vitamins. I started taking them in july and they work wonders. They're awesome. It's all natural stuff too. Hope this helped.
