Chemical Pregnancy
Posted: 10-11-06 09:42am

So I was 5 days late for my period and I was experiencing really bad cramps and slight spotting. So I went to the doctors..I was a faint positive and my dpo was very low. I had started bleeding earlier that day with clots and this white clear stuff in my blood. I had a chemical pregnancy Sad the doctor said it wouldn't affect my chances of getting pregnant in the future but it still scares me. I was so close. I don't know if i'll be that close again. I just want a baby Sad

Hey...

That's so weird...That happened to me the other day. A chemical pregnancy. But I wasn't trying to have a baby. I'm horrible with the pill thing. Keep forgetting to take them and so on and such. Need a new plan. I was actually really upset that I lost the little baby but I guess it wasn't meant to be. Bad timing it would have been. I'm not sure if it affects anything in the future but it hope it doesn't for you. And me too. Although i'm not planning on having one yet but later in life of course Smile

Hi, i've had a chemical pregnancy too hun and it hit me really hard because the pregnancy was a shock. I wouldn't have aborted or anything like that because i'm married and we want more children eventually but I did feel guilty. I wondered if my baby went away because it felt unwanted, even though I would have been so happy to be pregnant once the shock wore off! Sounds silly, I know. I mean, I was hardly pregnant but it still bloody hurts, doesn't it?

Sorry, this is a bit of a ramble. I just wanted you to know you're not alone.

if your dpo was very low then it would be too early to tell if you were pregnant.
Dpo is days post ovulation.

For hcg levels (which I assume you mean) then you would have to wait on a blood test. If you had it done in the morning you might get the results later that day but usually next day.
