Doctor Question
Can mono be passed through seamen? Can mono be passed from mouth to body contact? Is it recommended that I do not engage in any sexual activity until I am completly better which would be 4-6 weeks I hear. Thanks for any answers, and I apologize my post is a little incoherent. Basically it comes to can I still do stuff with my girlfriend or would that be a really dumb idea

Infective mononucleosis is a contagious disease caused by a virus called the "Epstein-Barr virus". The virus is present in the saliva and can enter the system via the pharyngeal mucosa. This means that the infection can be transmitted trough close contact, especially with intimate oral contact (kissing). The virus can’t be transmitted through the sperm.
