Q: Anxiety Problem Or Temporary Reaction?

I started dating my first boyfriend, who i've known since highschool, liked a lot for several months now, and trust greatly.

However, since i've started dating him my system's been feeling really screwed up. Most of the time i'm really happy/bubbly [i've been a lot happier this last week than I normally am in two or three months,] but every now and then I suddenly start to feel like i'm panicking, and then I feel my blood pressure goes up really high, and then it drops way below normal in about ten or twenty seconds and take about two hours before it goes back to normal. I had one day where I had to leave school early, and when I got home I ended up going straight to bed and slept for almost eleven hours.

I know any time in the past when i've been really happy I have had similar problems, but usually the happiness is short-lived [a beautiful spring morning, for example.] since we started going out I experience the panic and blood pressure thing about once a day, and instead of going back to a neutral state I go right back to being really happy again.

Normally i'm very neutral, so i'm wondering if it's just that my body/mind is getting used to actually being happy, but i'm also wondering if maybe i'm simply having some kind of biochemical intolerance or anxiety issue, since it's happened in the past. I'm planning on getting in to see the doctor soon regarding birth control, but i'm not sure if I should bring this up as well, or if I should wait until my yearly physical exam at the end of november to see if I stop having this problem.

Any feedback would be very much appreciated.
