But he usually falls asleep in his basanett on his own , soo..I dont know if this is just a phase or should I be worried and go to the doc. Or should I just wait afew days and see wat happens??

He could be having a milk sensitivity. Are you breastfeeding or bottle feeding? If bottle, then call your doctor.

Reguardless, call your doctor. You never know when it comes to your baby!

I was on the phone constantly!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Call them!!

Let me know what happens!!

I agree. I have always felt, if ever in doubt, get it checked out, it could be a little bug and it might be more serious and be sure to ask your dr about pedialite as I have heard a lot of good about it but I am not a Dr. Please let us know what you find out. You can always call the dr's.

First I would call your doctor.

He may just have a lot of gas. This can irritate him very badly and cause him not to sleep. Those infant gas drops help a lot.

.Melia started coughing a lot and I thought she was ill too but it was just flem. I was told to get a humidifier. That has helped a lot.

My son had those symtpoms and turned out he couldnt tolerate milk or soy protein. He is on special formula.
He also has acid reflux and needs medication. I figured that out when he would cry during feeding along with coughing, gagging and choking.
Call your doc.

im breast and bottle feeding him and latley iv been botteling him more so maybe thats wat it is. Its weird tho cuz last nite he didnt sleep in his basanett either unless it was with me, but now hes totally fine! During the day hes like perfect baby! He lies awake and content in his basanett after feedings and puts himself to sleep. I dont get it :s

He might be having a sensitivity to the cows milk your giving him. Definately call his doctor and let them know!

Oni is on soy cuz the cows milk had her acting a fool!!!!!!!!!!

Now i'm just worried that when she turns a year, she won't be able to tolerate cows milk and toddlers aren't advised to drink soy due to the lack of calcium that toddlers need. So....Imma have to talk to her doctor about maybe switching to cows milk formula. She'll be 6 months on the 22nd, so maybe now that she's older, she'll be ok. But, we shall see!!!

Let me know how it goes!!!

Well the doctor that I see right now is different from my family one cuz my family one doesnt deliver babies. So ever since I was like 28 weeks I started to see this other doc. Which I still have to see for another month or so but anyways, hes extremly busy with hospital and pregnant women . I mean, even when I go in for my appointments it's like rush rush rush I dont even have time to remember my own questions to ask, so I cant relaly call him and tlak to him, and I cant go see him for another couple weeks cuz hes solidly booked. I was suppose to go next week but they couldnt fit me in so I have to wait another couple weeks :s so should I just call like a nurse hotline or something? Landon is doing alrite rite now hes not sleeping but hes awake and content in his basanett which is the opposite of which he is at nite so I mean he knows his days and nites cuz hes up during the day and really good, its just like after 9pm til 8 am unless im holding him he wont really sleep, and he does have a lot of gas and farts, but its weird that its just at nite he does that. And during the day hes eating lots tho like he eats pretty much every 2-2 and a half hrs. And then some days every 3 hrs. So im just kinda trying not to worry cuz iv been reading this book and it says keep him on a schedule of every 3 hrs but I mean if hes hungry b4 that then feed him but then u change the scedule based on when he eats which I do. I just dont want to mess my kid up u kno? He eats, then I keep him up and play a bit and then I put him in his basanett at nite awake, but it just doesnt work that way at nite time .. So..Yah..:s

sarah, my son cant tolerate milk or soy, and I read many books and was also told that many babies like this grow out of it by age 1 and can then tolerate milk protein.

I don't know about a hotline. But maybe you could call your family doctor. Many times if you just ask the front desk, they'll go run and ask the doctor what to do. I've done that bookoo times.

Are you breastfeeding during the day and formula feeding at night?

Have you noticed a change in his poop schedule? Is he pooping any more or less? Is the texture different? Is he vomiting? What about his peepee diapers? Have they changed?

Even knowing little things like this can help the doctor figure out what's going on over the phone.

You can always talk to the nurse but as long as he is doing okay and sometimes a pharmacist might be of some help too. I am glad he is feeling better! Write everything down that you need to ask the dr and don't forget to take the list with you. I am so good with that when I go to the grocery store, I make up a list and forget the list.

good. I was starting to wonder about that. I'm gonna keep her on soy then. I don't wanna change things and have her throw a fit. It's bad enough she's cutting teeth. I don't need her belly hurting too, ya know!

Thanks for the info!
