Doctors think I might have irritable bowel
syndrome. I'm on movicol, but I hate
talking it. I do eat a lot of fruit and
veg. Is there any other things that are
good for ibs? I don't have diarrhoea,
but bad constipation. My bowels wouldn't
move for about a week, and 4 days. I did
have a flexible sigmoidoscopy to rule out
any diseases, and all was normal!
Thanks in advance!

I used to have that trouble after having
my galbladder out. I am not a Dr. But I
tried that equate anti-diahreahl from
wal-mart and it helped me. But remmber
what works for one may not work for
others. Now that I use a lot of pain meds
I have the opposie problems but I am
starting to use a colon cleanser which
seems to help and have changed my diet and
am using more fiber. You mean that they
did not run any test on you,you might seek
a second opinion also and some people have
problems if they are under a lot of
stress.
Good luck!

I personally have severe ibs (diarrhea,
though) my doctor said to take fiber!!!
I take 4-5 capsules of fiber in the
morning and evening and it actually works!
Good luck.
