Q: Body Shakes

My boyfriend's body shakes-like a muscle spasm or something. Any guesses as to what it could be? His older brother and father do it ,too, and all 3 drink beer like water. Sounds hereitary. The dad doesn't drink anymore but use to. Trying to get my guy to go to the doctor.Thanks!
