Q: Weight Gain

My daughter (20 yrs.) is really watching her diet and is exercising constantly but she cannot help but gain weight. She is not very heavy (115 lbs.) so the gain is very noticable. What could be happening?

Is there a need for weight loss? She is only 115lbs. Maybe she doesn't need to lose any weight. Has she been putting on a lot of weight recently or was just unable to lose any?

If she is dieting (seriously and properly without binge eating from time to time) and not losing any weight or is gaining.....She should have her thyroid hormones checked. Do you have a history of thryoid disorders in your family?
