Ive been having earache and headache for quite a while, mainly on the right side but somtimes even the left.
But recently it has gotten more troublesome, the explanation I got from the doc was that my ear trouble was due to a previous cold. Also my jaw makes a popping grating sound every time I move it and I have sore teeth and a painful jaw. This is what makes me think that these symptoms are due to me clenching my teeth whilst asleep..

It has been affecting me quite alot and becuase im pregnant its really making me anxious as im not able to eat properly, the pain in my jaw and teeth makes eating a real obstacle. Its very upseting sometimes.

I can easily control the clenching during the day time...But at night its impossible as im not even aware of when im doing it. I dont know how to break the habit.
I hate sleeping I know when I wake up the pain will be worsened. Ive tried to relax before bedtimes in hope that I wont clench again whilst alseep but it has not helped at all. Ive been told that the best position to sleep on is on your back to reduce stress on jaw..But this I cant do as its not advisable during pregnancy.

I made a visit to the dentist who said there is no sign of damage to my teeth...The only problem he noticed was swollen gums which he said was due to extra blood flow caused by pregnancy. He said the habit will go in time...As it is a symptom of stress. But its getting hard to deal with.

I was wondering if anyone else had any similar problems at moment...Or has any advice?I dont know what to do anymore.

Calcium and magnesium supplementation may help control involuntary muscle movements. Vitamin c and vitamin b complex 50 can help the body cope with stress. Bioflavonoid concentrate helps the body absorb and utilize vitamin c. Passionflower extract, hops extract and valerian extract help to relieve tension and soothe the nerves. Take valerian extract 30 minutes before bedtime.

Grinding Teeth
Yes, I have this problem too. I am 23 wks pregnant and I take calcium and magnesium before bedtime. Liquid form- 500 calcium 250 mag it relaxes the jaw and keeps you from grinding. Ask your doctor first! Smile hope you get better!

I wouldn't tak a B complex before bedtime. There are certain B vitamins that will keep you awake. Take a niacin (125 mg) before bed. This with the magnesium and calcium should calm your brain and your muscles.
