I've had this burning/itchy feeling at the tip of my penis for close to two months, without any form of discharge what so ever. It does not occur when I urinate, just at random. I had tests done for other infections & herpes, & discovered a hsv1 high count. I don't have any lesions or external symptoms & this has gone on far too long for a herpes attack. Besides another doctor I saw, told me the results were probably wrong since the samples were not taken from a lesion. My personal medical records indicate i've had oral cold sores associated with hsv1 during my childhood & no other indications. I'm waiting on fresh urine tests for uti's. Does any one have an idea what may be wrong with me? Could this be triggered by masturbation, stress, something i'm reacting to, or excessive alcohol consumption?
