Okay, I just started feeling symptoms just under a weekg ago when I used the bathroom. I had a hard stool in the morning and then drank coffee. Well, that made me want to go again, so I did and it was loose this time. As the day went on, I started to feel a little discomfort. The next day, I checked the area and found a small bump on each side of my anus. I did some research online and figured I had the symptoms of a hemroid. I went to the doctor yesterday and they siad I had a swollen thrombosis hemorid and said that I can use home remedies for a little while but if it gets worse or does not go away, I should consult a surgeon.
My question, how long should I wait until it goes away before consulting a professional again? I only have pain from the swelled external hemroid and I take warm baths and pain reliever. I would like advice on how long before seeking medical attention again. Any info would be appreciated.
