Q: Stress While Pregnant

For the past two weeks now I have been very stressed out. From problems at home to problems at school. Problems at school including to much assignments and tests and not being able to study enough or get the assignments done. Problems at home including my boyfriend working alot (he finally got a job as a waiter at a restaurant), my boyfriend having problems with his parents regarding his schooling, some money issues and him planning on dropping out of school. He is planning on dropping out just until he can make enough money so we can survive while he goes back and finishes grade 12 while working part time. Now my question is, "is stress good or bad while being pregnant"?

It is very hard for me not to get stressed out as much as I am. Ive tried many times not to, and when I finally get relaxed something comes up that stresses me out again. So it is kind of impossible for me to not get stressed out.

welcome to my life, I have two healthy kids but yep im a naturally stressed out person lol!!

All I can say is take it easy, tell your bf to stay in school, he will get a better job with a diploma than without, christ if he has the exp. Ill hook him up, I have family in .T.O and one owns a buisness!

I keep telling him to stay in school. But he keeps saying ohh dont worry it will only be for like a year or two. He just doesnt see things the way everyone else see it. He thinks by dropping out of school it would be doing it for me and the baby.

A very large percentage of kids that drop out of school don't return. He needs to get school out of the way *now* before the baby comes, because things will get crazy once the little one comes into the world.

His family is right to be concerned. He needs to finish now while he can.

Yes, stress during pregnancy is bad, especially if you're stressing out like mad during the first trimester. Severe stress can increase the risk for birth defects, mental illness in the child, a small baby, premature birth and miscarriage. However, stress is likely to cause less damage to the fetus as you progress through the pregnancy.
