Deafeating the Odds!
Posted: 10-01-06 14:51pm

I have chronic progressive ms for 7 years now, im 31. My head is full of ms lesions, as the mri shows, and in my neck. Two years ago I participated in a trial of aggressive chemotherapy to try and stop ms progression or stall it anyway. I have defeated all odds so far with stretching daily and excercising. Two years I am relapse-free. I only take baclofen now. No more needles, thank goodness!

My point here is, keep a positive attitude along with daily excercise to keep your muscles strong and you can fight this! I still walk with a cane, right side still is weaker, but latest mri in sept 06, showed no progression!
I pray for another year with no relapses.

If you have chronic progressive ms, ask your neurologist about aggressive cyclophosphamide http://www.Nlm.Nih.Gov/medlineplus/drug info/medmaster/a682080.Html

i lost all my hair, cried for days lol but what price would you pay for years of being relapse free. I know everyone is different, and it really sucks having ppms. I've been through the worst of times with it, and am two years with the best!

There is hope!

Thanks for reading
