Hey guys. My name is .Sarah and i'm an .Esthitician. Basically what that means is I deal with disorders and problems of the skin. I also am licensed to wax and do microdermabrasion.
There is a spray by "gigli" that you can get from your local beauty supply store that numbs your skin. If it's the pain you're worrying about, than that would help you out.
Make sure when you get it done:
1.The person is wearing gloves at *all* times.
2. They do *not* "double dip".( dunk the stick back into the wax after applying it to *your*skin.) if they do this with you, that means that they've done it with others. If you look closely at the wax, you'll more than likely, see skin and hair from others floating around in the wax.
3. Make sure they do not wax over the same spot over and over (unless they're using "hard wax") if they use "soft wax"(they use a strip) make sure they do not wax over a previously waxed area. This can cause extreeme pain, bruising, *skin* removal, and infection.
4. Make sure they apply a calming cream to the area which will reduce redness, bumps, infections, etc.
5. Don't be afraid to ask the girl as many questions about "their"(the company's) hygiene. Ask to see their license if you need to!
Getting waxed is nothing to play around with. It hurts. But it is beneficial for the busy woman. It alows hair to remain gone for up to 2 weeks. If your get it done often, your hair will begin to grow slower and the hair will be finer. This is the outcome many women strive for.
But be patient, you won't get that result immedietly. It'll take about 2/3 waxings to achieve 3 weeks of hairlessness!
I really hope this helped those who are interested but don't know what to look for!!!
Feel free to pm me with *any* questions dealing with the skin!!! Or waxing!!!
