Has anyone used a bumbo seat for their babies? I'm thinking of asking for one for .Aly as a .Christmas present, but .I'm not sure how great they are. Any comments, good or bad?

My baby isn't here yet but his bumbo is up in his closet! I've heard nothing but great things about them. It's a new position for them as opposed to laying flat or being reclined in a swing or bouncer. I've also heard it's good for bringing out to restaurants when they're tired of their bucket seat and not big enough for the highchair.

I wanted the lime one soooo bad and apparently it's the one that's impossible to get so I finally sucked it up and got blue. Why do they advetise all those colors but they only sell blue in the stores?

Lol

i have heard only good things about them. I got one for .Melia for christmas. I also got her a tickle me elmo the new ones. I almost had to break out the kickboxing moves to keep a hold of it. Lol. One lady almost took it out of my cart. Needless to say I hid it under the diaperbag until I got to the register. Lol

They are great, especially if aly is like ethan. He likes to sit up all the time and it's hard to get anything done. You should also get an exersaucer, most babies love them, I know ethan does. She won'y be able to use one until she's around 4 months, but they are great.

Bridget did you check out target? I know they had some lime ones there when I got ethans.

Its a decent enough seat when they are little...I took my nefew out for the day a while back and we saw one at this fair thing, the lady asked us to put him in it to try it out cause she wanted to see if it really worked and it was ok but he didnt seem to like it around his legs and once he got over that part he found a way to get himself out and he was about 1 at the time.....

Sorry for the long story, moral, its nice for little ones but once they can crawl id watch them really carfully in it cause they are bound to find a way out

I've never seen the lilac colored one anywhere, you might want to let people know they can probably get them brand new off of ebay.

Oh, I found it on amazon.Com actually. That's where I was doing my researching for baby gear. A lot of my family lives out of town, so they'll probably buy a lot of the presents online and have them shipped to our address.

i have the lilac one.......Only because .Melia's room is lilac. I haven't even opened it. I can't wait until christmas. I am sure that I am going to be really disapointed because it will just be me and my baby and i'll have to wrap all the gifts for her and then open them again. It's kinda sad. But it will be ok.

That is kinda sad... Don't you have any family? I think i've seen you mention your mom before. This christmas might seem lonely, but think of next christmas when she'll be able to open her own presents and actually have a reaction, you know?

I do have family but it will be my first christmas in 6 years without my husband. I am getting teary eyed just thinking about my baby's first christmas with just her mommy there. My bil might be able to come home for christmas. But it's not the same, if he doesn't come I am thinking about spending the night with my mom and dad, my little sister will like that.

You really should, hon. Holidays are hard to handle alone. And it'll be good for .Melia to be surrounded by lots of people who love her.

I can't wait for .N.E.X.T .Christmas, when our babies will be able to somewhat experience the excitement! Wrapper-tearing and giggling! Smile

I bought .Oni the pink one.

They had every color at the target down here!! It was a big decision between lilac and pink!! But....Of course, pink won!!!!

She doesn't really fit in it anymore though. Her legs get stuck.

She spends a lit of her time in her walker and bouncer!!! She loooooveeess them.

I use her bumbo mainly for when we go out to eat. You get a booth and just set her on the table!!! It's soooo convenient!!!

Our target is an hour away and we went a few times and they never had any bumbos in the store. We could've gotten the bumbo online but we had an $80 credit for babies r us and they had them there (but only in blue) so nick made me get that one. I still want the lime one! Crying
or Very sad maybe when our local target opens next month i'll go see if they have them and then exchange the blue one. I don't know why I care so much, I guess I really don't like blue.
