No idea why (as this has never been a problem for me before), but i'm suddenly battling constipation. It's driving me insane, and i'm under 18 so i'm not allowed to purchase actual otc laxatives. Also, I don't have any of these fancy herbs, like senna. Can anyone please tell me what I can do besides drink lots of water and eat lots of fiber? I'm starting to hate triscuits! Smile and I hate water now, too. I'm ready to chug down a cup of olive oil, but does anyone know if that much would cause cramping? I don't care if it has a cathartic effect on me... If it works, it works.

Thanks!

senna causes cramping. As do some other otc laxatives. You could try mineral oil. But, generally, most people do the water/fiber thing. Oh, and walk. Lots of gravity helps your system. You should eat more fruit and vegetables. Less processed foods.

Good luck.

Well, my campus is huge, so I walk at least 1-3 miles every day, depending on how many classes I have and how far away from my dorm they are. I have recently cut out martial arts, though, due to a heart problem, so that might be it. And i'm scared to eat lettuce and spinach and stuff because of the e. Coli scare. Maybe i'll just eat an entire can of collard greens in one sitting? I really don't eat that many processed things to begin with, but because of hypoglycemia I eat a lot of protein and normally good carbs, like oatmeal and stuff, but since getting to school it's mostly just triscuits and raisin bran that I eat for my fiber.
