Hey ladies. This is really weird but, last night I was feeding landon and wrapped him up and put another blanket over top of him in his basanet like I usually do but when I unwrapped him to feed him his blanket and his back and his arms were like really wet. And I thot maybe hes too hot but his body wasnt sweating or wet or anything. And then the same thing happened this morning again in his car seta I had 2 blankets on him. So im really confused, the only different thing I did last nite was change from huggies diapers to an older version of huggies but still the same huggies newborns just different pictures of winnie the pooh on them. His diapers arent wet anywhere else but inside the diaper and so I dont think its pee it doesnt smell like pee and it goes all the way up his back and on his side and arms that are wet so im really confused. Hes sleeping rite now so i'll unwrap him when he wakes up and see if it happens again..Anyone know wats going on?

.Melia is always really warm when she wakes up. I always cover her and when she wakes she is normally very clammy (sp). But she is never really 'wet' persay.

It honestly sounds like sweat to me. Overheating is actually a cause of .S.I.D.S, so you should probably limit the blankets unless it's really cold. If you feel comfortable in the room, he's probably comfortable as well. Is it particularly cold there? Because if not, one blanket should be fine.

if you are fine in a t-shirt, he should be fine in a long sleeved onesie.

Honestly there is no need at this point to put a blanket while sleeping. Babies are fine with a long sleeve pj and nothing else...Its just sweat from too many blankets.

also could still be his diapers as well or the way his peepee faces when u change him. My son used to pee up the side and back of himself alot lol and I didnt get how it was happening. Sometimes even his diapers would be dry. Make sure the diapers arent too loose or too tight as well. If it keeps happening I would lessen the blankets. I know here my baby will have to bebundled during winter since our heaters kinda suck. But most places now its still warm out so no need for blankets really.

I have to agree, with both of my 2 boys I was unable to use huggies or pampers. I would end up with odd leaks, and had to switch to luvs which seemed to work perfectly for both my boys. My friend who had girls after I had my children swore by huggies though. Perhaps I should have arranged the peewee different lol.

Don't they say to point the little boy bit down when changeing the diaper? I have to say that with my daughter I swear by pampers. I have used huggies and luvs but I don't like either ones. Huggies tend to smell really badly if I am unable to change the baby's diaper after each tinkle.

I use the sotre brand. Huggies and pampers is allll a name. The ones I use is the target brand and they have care bares on em and they last forever!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

When .Oni was born she ws 6.8 and they told me to be extreemely careful with her temperature. Because of lack of fat, she would get colder faster.

But we just used one blanket.

She's 5 months old and never sweats when she sleeps. I guess its just cuz she's comfy!!

I *hate* luvs!!! It never fails! She either pees in front or pees in the back with luvs!!!!

My good friend swears by .Luvs!!! But I like the cheap kind!

that exact thing was happening to my son. I was going nuts, I thought it was seat. The diaper was dry.

Turned out, it was pee. He was peeing up and it was going up the back.

He grew into his diapers an I changed brands and no more leaks!

Also, newborns urine has no smell, so it wont smell like pee.

Re: Wet Clothes Question..
I would change diapers to a different brand. Maybe go up to the next size. This is a little boy and it sounds like his "plumbing" is missing it's mark. It happens! Switch brands and size and see if it helps!

i ended up doing that , pampers seemed to work good the ones with the more elastic in them the swaddlers, cruisers etc. Even when he was older huggies and boys dont work lol certain ones, he would poop up them , some are made differently though like hugges the mesh fluid catcher I guess youd call it ended realyl low unlike other diapers it went all the way up. Ive been using pampers most of the time tried store brand but he got arash but luvs and pampers seem to work the best for boys anyways, my friend uses huggies on her daughter and she is fine.

I'm sooooo glad .Oni doesn't get a rash from cheap diapers. I don't know what I would do!!!

I get the jumbo target brand for 5 dollars!! God I love the store brand....But too bad there's not store brand baby food.

I'm honestly starting to think about making my own baby food with fresh veggies, meats, noodles, and fruits. She eats stage 3 foods and doesn't like the watery foods. She likes to chew her food!!

Pampers swaddlers didn't fit .Aly, and we have a huge case of them. We had to switch to .Huggies size 1 until she gained some weight. Now i'm just waiting to run out of the .Huggies before giving the swaddlers another try.

I haven't had problems with either of them leaking.
