Different Bc's Which One Is Right??? Posted: 09-27-06 01:15am
Story:
i am 18 years old and I have been taking
anamai birth control for the last 7
months. I have never heard of this brand
and I got it off an online pharmacy. The
price was right and I did not want to go
to planned parenthood and could not afford
a gynaecologist.
For about the last 4 or 5 months I have
been having major mood swings, boughts of
depression, very low sex-drive, and have
generally felt as if i've been in a sort
of 'fog' and not myself at all. I also
developed an ovarian cyst which caused me
great pain to the point that I had to quit
my job. Luckily, the pain has subsided
very greatly in about the last 3 months
and i'm able to work again. In the last
month I have been having anger problems,
over very little things, and basically
frustrated by almost everything. Recently
I attributed these things to the birth
control and have stopped taking it.
Question:
is my birth control the cause of these
problems, and if so, is there any type of
birth control that has a lower dose of
hormones? (i've heard of yaz. But cannot
find any real information on it.) if not
is there any other alternatives
(non-hormone therepy) that may work?

Yes there are types with lower hormones,
but you need to go to planne dparenthood
or a gyno!
Why would you not go? Sex causes cervical
cancer due to a virus, you need a yearly
exam to make sure you are healthy.
Planned parenthood would be able to sell
you birth control for between 0$ and
20$....

Well I am on yaz and I can tell you that
it has really made me happy so far. The
side effects are little to none, and I
have hardly any symptoms when it's that
time of the month. Google yaz birth
control and go to their site, you should
be able to find the info you're looking
for there.
Good luck

You def should go yearly to get an exam..I
would highly recommend planned parenthood
or if you have insurance a regular gyno,
all you'll have to do is pay a deductable.
For low dose pills I would recommend
lutera 28, generic of alesse. I was on it
for 5 months and never had a problem. Now
I am on aviane 28 which is the same stuff.
Good luck
