Q: Mood Changes

I know birth control can have effects on moods. But how soon could that happen? Because i've noticed that recently i've been feeling happy, then a little sad then maybe frustrated. My cousin said it might be the pills. But so soon? I've only taken a weeks worth.

Maybe i've just got problems.

The first month or 2 can definately have more side effects than usual, and mood changes is a side effect of the pill. It is usually most often reported in women who already suffer depression and have anxiety issues in the first place.

Yeah, a week would probably do it. I started having 'morning sickness' within the first week, so it's not unconceivable that your moods could be affected so quickly, too.

Even with the mood swings on the pill, though, I was way more manageable with the hormones than without them!
