Q: Childhood Incident Affect Pregnancy?

When I was about 8 years old, I was jumping on the trampoline and I jumped really high and ended up falling off. I landed with my heel slamming against my vagina. I was in excruciating pain for a couple hours and I had some bleeding. But it went away after those few hours and I never had pain of bleeding after that. (except for my periods now, of course). Me and my husband have been trying to get pregnant for the last 3 months or so and no luck yet...Which I guess is pretty normal. But i'm wondering if that accident would have anything to do with me getting pregnant now. I never saw a doctor about it then or now..So I dunno..If anyone has some tips or anything..That'd be great.

Could it just be that my hymen was broken then?

Wierd, I had a very similar incident when I was four. Believe it or not, I fell backwards onto a lawn mower (it wasn't running) that had the cover off of it. I landed on a piece of metal and it went right inside of my vagina. It ripped my hymen and I bled like crazy. I went to the hospital and they checked it out and said I should come back when I became sexually active to make sure there was no scar tissue. I did, and there wasn't. I havn't had any problems conceiving. I don't think your incident would prevent you from getting pregnant ethier.
Good luck!
