Since thursday I have been having serious
pain in the outside lips of my vagina. It
doesn't hurt to the touch, but it is
really painful when i'm walking or when I
stand up. I almost feels like I pulled a
muscle. Should I be worried? I don't see
the doctor until thursday. I'm 31 weeks.

It could be some lovely varicose veins,
they are common in the later months of
pregnancy and can be very painful. If
you can manage it, try and have a look
down there (with aid of a mirror or aid of
a boyfriend! :p ) and see if you can
spot a sticky-out vein.

I have this too but only on the left side.
It feels like there should be some sort
of sore there but I can't see or feel
anything. Applying pressure to it
actually relieves the pain. It doesn't
bother me when i'm sitting but when I get
up from sitting or laying it is really
painful and takes a while for me to walk
off. Sometimes it's so bad I walk funny
or even have to hold my crotch (i don't do
that in public!). I asked about it on
another forum I go to and everyone who
replied said it sounded like a varicose
vein. I've had it for 2 weeks now and
from what i've read it won't go away until
after the baby is born. I didn't mention
it at my last appointment because I
thought it was pretty much gone (i didn't
know what it was at the time) but i'll
definitely be mentioning it at my next one
because it is excruciating at times and
i'm hoping they'll take pity and not let
me go too far past my due date. Thank god
someone else knows what i'm going through!
I thought I was a freak! Hang in there,
if you're feeing what i'm feeling I know
how horrible it is. Just mention it at
your next appointment and see what they
say, in the meantime maybe google varicose
veins in the vulva.

i've tried looking in the mirror many
times and I can't see anything. I'm
guessing mine is too deep to be visible
from the outside. So if you don't see
anything keep in mind it could still be
varicose veins. It makes me want to
squeeze this baby out right now.
