Hey gals.. Yea im like 34 weeks along and
I was woundering if I should be feeling
the braxion hicks contractions yet or no?
When did you start feeling them? I've
done some research on what they feel like
but I dont quite understand.. What do
they feel like.?
Also i've noticed my nipples are leaking
way! More then usual.. So im planning on
going out and getting some breast pads
soon as I have some cash, what kinda
breast pads did/do you gals use? Whats
good, what sucks?

As far as the braxton hicks.. They are
just going to feel like a tightening of
your abdomen, some can be severe, but in
my case, i've has 3 prenancies, I never
had anything worse than a 1.)tight feeling
in my tummy, 2.)low grade pain, associated
with the "tightening" and 3.) lower back
pains.. They're really nothing more than
a mild, false contraction.. And not
everyone gets them..
When, or if you get them, they can come on
strong, and sometimes even regularly,
causing you to think you may be going onto
labor.. Just make sure to time them..
You'll know it's the "real deal" when it
happens.. Braxton hicks will go away, or
lessen in severity, where as real
contractions only get worse... And
worse..Lol..
I hope that helps, even a little bit...
As far as the breast pads.. I personaly
prefer the large round ones (as opposed to
the smaller oblong ones).. I don't know
any brand names off hand.. They have some
that have an adheisive strip on one side
to stick on your bra.. They stay in place
rather well, and save you from horribly
embarasing moments.. They really are a
wonderfull product, although, sometimes
they can look kind of bunchy through your
shirt.. But 'd rather have a "lumpy bra"
than a soaked shirt in the middle of a
crowded room..Haha..
Good luck to you! I hope everything goes
well-

First of all pregnant wemon have b/h
during the entire pregnancy. You can
even see them on the ultrasounds if you
look hard enough. Once you start to get
bigger you start to feel them. They cause
your stomach to tighten, to me it felt
that my stomach was going to burst. I
could hardly breath when my stomach
contracted. It feels differently to
everyone. There shouldn't be any pain
associated with them. There may be a
dull ache though.
I used the gerber thin breast pads. They
are round w/o the sticky adheasive on the
back. They kinda stayed in place by
themselves. They worked great unless I
sprung a great leak but that was'n't until
after amelia was born (and it was feeding
time and I needed some release.)

soaked too so I am gonna get some for the

They stay in place really well. There
isn't really any reason to have to tape
them to your breasts.

Braxton hicks are a big red flag for being
dehydrated. I never had one braxton hick
contraction throughout my entire
pregnancy.
Being dehydrated can also cause cramping
in your legs. Drink no less than 32oz of
water per day. This is something that
you'll be glad you did when your delivery
comes around. Because I was properly
hydrated, I was able to labor and deliver
my child with no iv or epidural.
I used the store brand breast pads. The
cheapest ones are fine. All you're gonna
do is throw it away...So why spend all
your money?
