You are still very early in your pregnancy, it does not surprise me that they couldn't see anything. What surprises me is that they even tried! It only serves to upset mommies when they do things like that.

When is your next scan? Most women do not feel pregnant at 5 weeks, major symptoms set in later. Feel fortunate you don't have morning sickness and other early pregnancy issues. They may sound like they'd be comforting, but then you'd just be worrying that you were losing weight and not eating enough, etc.

Feel free to call your doctor or his nurse if you have any questions about your pregnancy. That is what they are there for!

Soooo Lucky
This is my second pregnancy, and just like the first, I started getting sick at 5 weeks. Ugh. I'm so jealous! I would not worry if you don't feel it though. The important thing is you know that you are pregnant and you can take care of you and your growing baby. I know so many people who don't find out until the 2nd trimester and they didn't get any prenatal care.

Its good to hear others are going through the same thing as I am. peace of mind I guess. I'm 6 weeks pregnant and this is my first so I am a little scared. Everyone is telling me your lucky yet their either not pregnant or had symptoms during their pregnancy. So thanks for your inputs.

It was very comforting to read these posts - thank-you! I am at 6 weeks of my second pregnancy. My first pregnancy I miscarried at 11 weeks so I am very paranoid and aware of everything my body is (or is not) telling me! I do not feel any different, no morning sickness, no sore breasts, not tired...I just need to 'feel' pregnant to feel better! Bring on the sickness or sumthin! but thanks for your posts, I do feel better knowing that others are the same!

Feeling the same
Hi girls. Thank you for posting. I am so scared right now and dont have a clue what to do. My first pregnancy ended in a miscarriage; the baby died at 6 weeks, but the docs didnt realize anything was wrong until I went into cardiac arrest from loosing so much blood at my 3 month mark. I am pregnant again, supposedly at the 6 week mark. I have been feeling pregnant for awhile now, but this morning I woke up and I feel like something is terribly wrong. My first prenatal appointment is in 2 weeks, which means I will be 8 weeks pregnant. I called the doc's office this morning and tried to make them understand, but they told me I would just have to wait to find out. So, im looking to the internet for help or some kiind of advice. Im not bleeding or anything but I didnt the first time around either. Anyone have suggesstions?? Sad

Hi fellow preggos
I'm with all of you. pregnant 5.5 weeks they think but not feeling a ton of symptoms and not doc tells me that my hcg level is lower than it should be. I am getting all the answers I can but just wanted to put my support out there and say let's take good care of ourselves and try to stay calm. I flew off the handle about the low hcg level then realized there's nothing I can do about it right now. Worrying won't help the fetus! Taking care of ourselves is physical, but also mental.

My symptoms so far have been huge boobs that are tender, and some depression that wasn't typical. No morning sickness. Left ovary feels funny and slightly crampy feeling all over the bottom of my belly.

Take care everyone! Great to have this community!

Just wait
If you're lucky, you WON'T feel many of the worst symptoms!

I thought I might be one of the lucky ones -- felt fine all the way through and up until I was 6 weeks. Then, the day I was officially 6 weeks, the nausea hit, and it was all day and awful.

Still not feeling much more tired than usual, and I'm 9 weeks now. Just counting down the days until 12 weeks so hopefully the nausea will start to subside!

Good luck to all you other expectant Moms and your little beans!

Is my gf pregnant?
Hi ladies

I was wondering if i could get your input on a similar situation. My girlfriend's period is well overdue. According to her, her last period was on the 26/02/2009. It's now 06/04/2009 and she's really stressing because it hasn't arrived yet. We took two pregnancy tests about 5 days ago, one at a clinic and the other being a home pregnancy test. Both came up negative. However, even before we even considered that she might be pregnant, she was already under a lot of stress with her studies. Aside from that, she's also been on medication for the past six months just as a precautionary measure for her Tb not to resurface. Nonetheless, her doctor did inform her recently that the medication shouldn't be messing up her menstrual cycle. We're going for another test this Wednesday to make sure. Could she be pregnant? She says some the signs of pregnancy are very familiar to those of period pains so she's not sure. What are some of the reasons that could cause a woman's period to be late?

Kind regards,
Dv

I am 5 weeks pregnant with my 2nd child (1st child turns 1 tomorrow!) and I feel absolutely nothing this time around. Last pregnancy I just 'knew' straight away and was sick up until about 14 weeks. I am totally paranoid that something isn't right this time. I have been charting my temps and every little drop makes me even more paranoid. My husband says 'stop charting!'. Only time will tell I guess.

looking for signs
Thanks for all these posts. My husband and I have just begun trying to get pregnant and I realize that I am very impatient person because I am having trouble waiting until my missed period to find out if I am pregnant. Smile I don't feel any differently except my breasts are bit larger suddenly, however that has happened before when my hormones were off. I seem to be very emotional this week, but that could be PMS! I guess I just need to wait to test and hope. Smile

wow, i feel much better
so, I thought something was wrong with me because I'm about 5 weeks pregnant with no symptoms except for bloating and tiredness. I also have some cramping without bleeding so I'm gonna tell myself everything is normal. I'm 20, married and now pregnant with my first kid, so I don't have other pregnancies to compare this to.

I've been feeling fine... only had really sore boobs and the slight cramping...
Woke up this morning, and I feel the way you feel... I don't feel pregnant and also just want to go to the shop and pregnancy test just to confirm it... but after reading your replies, i feel better... and know i'm not the only one.
Congratulations to you all! xx
