I just got an e-mail from paypal stating I just paid $398.88 for a cell phone, and uh.....I did not buy anything online period. Especially using pay pal. I do have paypal, but it's been like 2 months since i've used it.
Then there is a link to click to cancel the transaction or whatever, but when I click it, it takes me to the paypal log in page. And i'm afraid if I log in, that my info will be available to whoever is trying to do this. I don't know if this is real or fake, .H.E.L.P me!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Smile

There isn't a 'contact us' listed on the e-mail. It says to log in then go to the 'help' link.
But i'm not about to sign in until I get this resolved. Pm me your e-mail addy and i'll fwd the msg to you, and let me know if it looks real to you. This has me a bit freaked out

Ok, it was a fake paypal. Just an .F.Y.I....If you recieve an e-mail from paypal, they will address you using your first name, or last name....Never by "paypal user" or "paypal member"
i reported it...So we'll see what happens. Fingers crossed!

Somebody tried doing that to .Robs paypal a few months back... Turned out, if he had logged into his account from that link, it would have given the hackers access to his account and they could have (and im sure would have) stole his money. Good thing he knows better and called paypal and told them about it.
