How about getting a staph infection in the joint from a cortisone injection, the puncture of the needle through improper cleaning would cause a staph infection leading to sepsis, possible or not

Staph Infection
Yes, it can happen. Docs say it is rare today, because sterilization and
procedures are much better. But it happens. Sis-in-law has had two visits to hospital, first by ems, low fever, tenderness in shoulder, redness in area. Swelling, and overall weakness. First visit sent home. Sent to different hospital, 5 days, double antibotics, pills and drip. Lanced wound and still has pus coming from injection site. Has been referred back to orginal doc for more treatment.
And they are not pushing for cure as fast as we want. Seem slow to react.

Good luck! I hope you are o.K! Keep us posted!

Duration?
Could anyone tell me for a how long a mild staph infection could be considered contagious? Just a ball park estimate would be nice. Thank you.
