I am a 28 years old male. About three nights ago I woke up 3 nights ago with pain in right upper abdomen. About 5 inches to right of the center of my body and just below my rib cage. Not under my rubs but actually below them. I also had intense pain in the center of my abdomen about 1 inch below were the stermin ends and the half inch to right of my lowest ribs. The pain was also present in my right shoulder almost under my trapezes muscle. The pain was worse when I breathe, flex, or cough. If I am breathing quietly there is no pain. I have been taking motrin for 3 days and all symptoms are gone except a sharp pain in my right upper abdomen when I walk, cough, or flex. A day before this happened I was involved in a lot of bending over and heavy lifting. Any help would be great!

Well, obviously you should get it checked out if it continues...

It could be your liver, although I have no idea if the liver is actually capable of feeling/causing pain like that. I do know that it's in the general area you say you're feeling the pain (or at least... I think that's where you said you were having pain... I was somewhat confused).

Get it checked out-- it can't hurt anything. Smile
