Hi,
i know a 46 y/o african american lawyer with a case of untreated hypertension (bp:160/100). He recently had an isolated episode of right hand/ wrist weakness when trying to open a jar. I told him to see a doctor, because I think it may be related to his hypertension, but he thinks it may just be a little carpal tunnel because of his job. I was wondering what anyone thought of this.

Yes!! It was also my right hand-it lasted for two months-weakness-but then it would go away and my strenght returned-then last nov. (next week it will be a year) I had a tia. That is a mini-stroke. I'm not saying that is what he is having-but he needs to go to the doctor-i am 32 years old healthy, no smoking,

i say it's always best to be safe than sorry-life is too short.
