Q: How is Chlamydia Transmitted?
asked by: DoctorQuestion on September 20th, 2006
Hi, i went to the doctor and was tested positive for Chlamydia. It's very important for me to know if there is anyway possible that you can get Chlamydia without it being sexually transmitted. I have tried to search for answers online but I really wanted a real opinion and a doctors insight. If you could please help me out it would be greatly appreciated. Me and my sexual partner are trying to figure out how the infection was started.

Chlamydia is usually transmitted via unprotected sexual intercourse. Your sexual partner also MUST be checked for possible Chlamydia infection. Then both you and your partner can reconsider your sexual behavior inside and outside your relationship.
