Post Appy And I Feel Like I'm Having An Appendicitis Again!? Posted: 09-19-06 17:24pm
The very last day or so in january I had
my appendix removed. I have about a 3
inch incisions and it wasn't done
laproscopic because it was not exactly in
the right spot.
I've had wierd stomach issues going on the
last 4 months..And then today, something
new. Right where my scar is..I'm having
pain (i've had tenderness every since it
was out)..And i'm havin this naseating
type of pain, just like I did before I had
it removed. It feels identical!! I
didn't have the classic symptom since it
was in the wrong spot. I could stand my
pain and the only reason I went in, is
because it was annoying. I kept telling
everying that it feels like something is
there, that shouldn't be. And that's
what it feels like now. The same exact
way!!
Someone I work with told me to call a
Dr..So I called my surgeon, they want to
see me tomorrow. That's insane they
dont' get you in the next day, at a
surgeon's office.
I'm really kinda worried, but more than
that i'm in alot of wierd feeling pain
right now.
Anyone else had this experience post

Thats bizzare did you ever find out what
it was? I am having same issues altho
mine was taken out only about 1 1/2 wks
ago. I keep feeling like I am having
another attack!
thats odd and must suck, possibility of
scar tissue maybe? or sutured wrong? I
dunno, ive never had my appendix removed.
just some ideas, hope you got it figured
out and are feeling better soon

Did they say your appendix was bad when
they removed it? If your still having the
same problem it would seem to me that it
wasn't your appendix giving you your
trouble.

I had my appendix removed in November and
since they did cut through muscle you will
always feel a weird pain there because the
muscle will never heal right. As for the
more intense pain you seem to be having I
cant really explain it. It will take a
good month for the bad pain where the
incition is to go away ecspecially since
you had the old way of taking the appendix
out done. (It takes twice as long to heal)
But it is odd that you are still having
pain. I think its a good idea that you do
see your doctor again just to make sure
nothing else strange is going on! Hope you
feel better.
