I am having my first ultrasound on
tuesday. My husband really wants to find
out the sex of the baby and I truly do not
want to know. I was just wondering if
anyone out there experienced the same
thing, and how you dealt with it. We are
thinking about having the tech write it
down and put it in a sealed envelope.
That way, todd can look at it when i'm not
around and he wouldn't give it away to me.
I know if they told him, I would know
what we were having by the look on his
face!! I just think that if we were
meant to know, we would. Now he wants
to have it written down and sealed just in
case we want to look at some point. What
to do???!!!
How many of you found out the sex of your
baby? I know i'm in the minority on this
one.

I found out the sex of my child when I was
put in the hospital for early contractions
in .April. They wanted to give me an
ultrasound to make sure that the baby was
healthy. We were convinced all along that
we were having a boy, so I asked the
technician to check so we would be sure.
She immediately told us it was a girl. I
was in complete shock and my husband was
pretty disappointed at first. But the
idea of a little girl grew on him, and of
course I was thrilled. Our daughter is 5
weeks old now, and I was so glad that we
found out the sex. It gave us an
opportunity to mentally prepare for a
daughter, as well as gather every pink
baby item in the state. I despise the
"safe" colors, so that worked out pretty
well.
But it could be fun waiting until birth to
find out, if you're the kind of person
that likes surprises. :)
