Soo Miserable.
Posted: 09-16-06 23:53pm

Guys, for the past like, week.. I've been getting the worst headaches on the planet. &.I have the most unbearable neck pain. It's getting so bad that it's hard for me to fall asleep &stay asleep. I can never get comfortable, either. It's so frustrating 'cause .I've been so tired but .I'm in so much pain it's like, impossible to get a decent night's sleep.

I've been taking tylenol.. But not much, because .I know tylenol is okay to take during pregnancy, but .I don't know how much is considered okay or anything like that. I've tried drinking a lot of water, not being around much noise, doing neck stretches/excersises, using a heating pad on my neck.. Everything .I can think of! The neckaches/headaches won't go away!

Does anyone have any suggestions at all?

I am so miserable .I just want to cry.

:(

Oh no .K!!!!!! I'm still going through that! I usually get 2 or more a day..... It's crazy!!! Sometimes I let it play out to see how much I can take, but most of the time I take the tylenol. It hasn't been working lately though arrrrrgggggghhhhhhhh!!!!

Have you tried a cold pack?

I think that's the only thing .I haven't tried.
This is the 4th day that .I've had a headache.
It never really goes away but sometimes
.I don't notice it as much. I think .I must either
have a sinus infection or .I'm just dying. Hahah,
no, but .I don't think .I've ever been so miserable
in my entire life. It's a little after 9am here,
&.I've been waking up every hour or two. Last
time .I got up it was about 6:30am. So that
was the longest .I've slept all night. It's awful.

Spring and fall bring headaches like no tommorrow either migraines or sinus headaches I think they feel about the same but anyways I thought I was just getting them through pregnancy.

I find advil worked best but dr told me not to take it if I dont have too and not during first trimester but said I could take it after just dont abuse it, I found out after advil prolongs a pregnancy and that I should have only taken it during 2 tri.

i bought mine at shoppers drug mart. It's just a gel filled thick plastic baggy thing. You put it in the freezer/fridge and when it's at the temp you prefer, take it out and place it on your head. It helps!

Just to add...

.I'm not sure if you're planning on breastfeeding or not, .Krissy, but save those cold packs if you buy them. They work wonders when your milk comes in. Engorgement hurts like hell!

I had those for like 2 weeks straight and nothing worked. I went to the doc and she said to get physio and they were gone the next day. Your muscles in you back and neck change during pregnancy which create headaches - well this is what they told me and it worked!!!!!

Try pepermint oil... On your temples and the base of your neck... It really, really helps, especially for tension related pain... Also tiger balm helps for neck peain.

Good luck!!!

Actually hubby introduced me to this cream that does wonders for headaches and all aches/pains its called omega cream and honestly its a miracle. I have only been able to buy it at one store down here as it is imported from the phillipines but if you can get your hands on it do so!!

Sorry a physiotherapist - it cost me about $20 (aus dollars) because my private health care paid for the rest of it - it was the best thing that I could have spent my money on!

I hope that works for you - the physio pretty well released my trigger points and loosened the muscles around my neck - so if you know someone who can do that I would suggest it!

Go to a chyropractor... They will release muscles in your back and your neck... They can make headaches go aways, sickness ect. I would deffinitly go!!! My chyropractor saves my life I swear!

It should work it you go there. Also maybe let a fan blow on your face. That sometimes helps.

Chiropractic care isn't covered on my insurance anymore, so that's a no-go. I'm actually supposed to go once a week because .I have such bad back problems &stuff, but since our insurance dropped it, .I can't go. Which sucks. I'm wondering if a chiropractor that specializes in pregnant women would be covered on my medicaid, but .I doubt it.

I tried a coldpack last night!

I got my box of reese's cookies, my kiwi-strawberry flavored water, put in season 5 of .Will &.Grace, put the coldpack on the back of my head, &laid in my bed in complete bliss! Lol.

It didn't take the pain away completely, but it definitely dulled it, &made it small enough that .I was able to fall asleep in no time. It was great!
