...It's much more than just a slideshow. The slideshow is just a clip to give a brief example of a virtual reality video with headphones, etc that enables the viewer to "live" the complete schizophrenia experience. I do believe it's available to teachers.
The slideshow is very illuminating, though. I know it gave my family members just a little example of what my son has to experience and made them a bit more sympathetic.
I'm pretty disgusted with this forum already. So far, nearly every thread I've looked at is bashing modern psychiatry and how it tries to deal with the terrible illness. Would anyone ever suggest that a diabetic stop his insulin? Would they suggest that this same diabetic has the illness because of stress or a traumatic childhood?
People should research before they shoot their mouth off. Yes, I hate the fact that my son has to take powerful medications to control his illness, but the alternative, for him anyway, is death.
