"random crap"? That was a bit rude. I suggest acting a little nicer if you expect people to help you. You could have just nicely asked her to elaborate.

Hahahah....Girl....She's young...Let her go.

If she wants help...She needs to learn that being rude isn't the way to get it.

Looks like someone is gonna have a hard time figuring things out....

There is really only two ways of child birth.. Natural or vaginaly, or caserian.

The only different choices you have with natural/vaginaly is if you wanna choice to have an epidural or if you wanna go through with out any pain medication! It is standard for an iv to be used in either birth process due to the fact of dehydration.

Caserian you get and epidural and are numb. They then cut you and pull the baby out..

Recovery is faster if you choice to have a vaginal birth, as your stomach and uterus are not required to be cut. Caserian may take a few weeks to totally recover. Also with a vaginal birth your normally discharged from the hospital within 2 days!

I hope this helped you a bit!

I had a vaginal birth and I didn't have an .I.V or an epidural. But that was my choice. I wanted no medical intervention.

What kind of advice are you looking for girl? I mean you have the internet right?? Google what you're trying to find out. You apparently aren't satisfied with what we're telling you.

Please be more specific...

I went through my entire labor, but ended up having a c-section. I had an epidural and it was great. I highly recommend it if you don't like being in pain. Having a c-section kind of sucks. It is pretty hard to get out of bed or walk for the first couple days unless you take the pain medication. I am going to have to have another c-section in april though.

C-section is an abbreviation for cesarean section.

Epidural is a pain relieving procedure. The doctor puts a thin catheter into your back using a needle, and delivers pain medication directly into your spinal column. It relieves pain within minutes and (under normal circumstances) lasts a pretty long time.

*edited to correct my spelling :p *

You need to speak with your doctor and get some books. Perhaps, as a previous poster suggested, get yourself into a childbirth class - as well as a parenting class.

Your pregnancy is only the beginning of a lifelong journey and the better educated you become now, the better off you'll be.

Birth is the least of your worries.

Ask your midwife about antenatal classes, mine has just sorted me out with a course starting in october.. It's one night a week for 4 weeks, covering labour, birth, postnatal care, and life in the first few weeks after the birth. There's also a tour of the hospital included. I think it'll be really helpful.
