Hi I was recently test for hep b anti core twice and I get a reactive result
the doctor had a medical assistant call to tell me the results. The assistant said there were going to run more test becasue the doctor believe it was a false positive *and could give me a explaination of what a false postive meant*can anyone tell me what that means.

a false positive basically means that antibodies associated with hepatitis b were found in your blood results, but that you do not in fact have the virus. Hopefully, your doctor is correct in his beliefs because then you would have nothing to worry about! Your doctor will be able to explain this in better detail.
