My Girlfriend Has Seizures. Doctors Say It's Mental. Help. Posted: 09-15-06 10:03am
My girlfriend ihas had a history of
seizure. She just blanks out and shakes
violently, kicking away. She also said
her hands tend to go numb and she normally
doesn’t remember most of it. While the
doctors have said there is nothing wrong
with her physically and that it is just a
mental condition, I can't help but bring
up the fact that the doctors here in nepal
have a strong history of incompetence.
What could it be? Are there any tests she
should do to find out?

Hello Posted: 11-06-06 13:03pm
I have epilepsy and have lived with in for
about 23 years now and I can only think
that maybe at some point she had some form
of head injury. This was what happened
to me as this is the only possible cause
for my epilepsy. I have had a mri, c
scan, you name it and the only thing that
was with me was some scar tissue on my
noodle. Hope this helps.

Seizures Posted: 02-11-07 09:34am
Seizures are not caused by anything but a
blockage in the brain from substancial
brain injury or it could also run in
someones family there is no reason for the
doctors in nepal to say it is mental
because there is a neurological problem
which like I said at the top is cause by
some sort of trauma to the head its not
because she has mental incapablities so do
let that discourage her from seeking help
in another doctors office and actually
getting those things under control I have
llived witrh epilepsy myself for 13 years
and I am only 24 years old so I know how
it feels to be told by incompetent doctors
that they don't know what is wrong with
me.
