I need some advice please. In the last two months ive started on the combined-birth control pill microgynon 30. Im 19 and me and my boyfriend both wanted to have sex as we love each other and both felt comfortable. As extra precaution (im a worrier) and to prevent stds we've always used condoms when we have sex.

Im due on my period over the next few days and im worried because my stomach has been having alot of cramps for about a week now and its all bloated. Could this mean im pregnant? My period isnt late yet. Also, I always take my pill in the morning but sometimes theres 2 or 3 hours difference from the morning before. I didnt realise it should be bang on the same time everyday. Im terrified I might be pregnant.

If all turns out well I will make sure I take them dead on time next month, I never missed one it was literally 3 hours late or something one day and we've always used a condom anyway.

Please can I have some advice. To make matters harder im in a nursing home for rehabilitation (re-learning to walk!!) and I feel quite alone with this worry. Thanks. Xxxxxx

sweety first off calm down! You have been taking your pill for 2 months, you haven't missed a pill, you take your pill around the same time(it should be the same time but im told 2-3 hours are not that big of a deal) and on top of that you used a condom. You are not pregnant. It's almost impossible. Even if you didn't use a condom you have been on it long enough that you won't get pregnant. It's normal to be nerous when you first start having sex. My boyfriend and I don't use condoms anymore(been together 4 years) he cums in me almost everytime and ive never got pregnant. Just be responsible. You are doing everything right. You shouldn't worry until you have a reason too. Baby, your period isn't even late yet!! If you worry that much your period may be late just from that lone. If I were you, I wouldn't change anything just try to take it around the same time everyday. Its hard to always be exact. You will be fine okay? This is perfectly normal but do not upset yourselfthat much
! Best of luck!

Especially eHealthy
I often feel bloated before my period; in fact, most women do! The pills have simply affected how your body prepares for your period.
