Q: Swollen Vein On Penis (more Than 1 Week)

After vigorous masturbation, I woke up the next morning with a swollen vein around the top of my penis, right underneath the head. It circles around the circumference of the area. It isn't very painful, but hasn't subsided, and its been well over a week. I had something like this happen once before, but simply not masturbating for a day or two was enough for the vain to heal. Have I done permenant damage somehow? What are some recovery options?

I think you just irritated the area. Or maybe broken some blood vessels in the area, which will take some time to heal.

?
Is there anything I can take or put on it to help speed up recovery time? Do I need to refrain from having sex while I wait for this to heal? Its not painful unless I really press on it hard.

Damaged and Swollen Vein in Penis
I know this is an old posting, but I hope somebody sees this note.
I'm too embarassed to tell my regular Dr about this, but I also have the same vein problem.
About a month ago, I was using a overly tight cockring. At the base of my penis, where the ring was, there is a lump in the vein. Below the lump the vein is normal, but above the lump the vein is hugely swollen up to and around the glans. The vein is rigid and firm to the touch is is painfull when any pressure is applied, including holding the penis during urination. Getting and maintaining an erection has become difficult. Will this go away on it's own or do I need medical treatment ???? Is the blood in the vein clotted and in danger of circulating back into the body with serious results ? Can I just pierce the vein with a needle to relieve the pressure ? Any help is wonderful, and God bless the anonimity of the Internet because I could have never asked another person these questions.

Morgo,

I would NOT pierce the vein with a needle. Do not try to do this stuff yourself. If it really is hurting, just take a trip to the doctor. Trust me, they have seen everything under the sun. If you did this over a month ago and it still hurts, go to the doctor.
