Let me preface this by saying I tend to blow little symptoms way out of proportion. Anyway, about a month or so ago I had sex with a girl I vaguely knew. She claimed (when asked) to have been recently tested and completely clean. We used protection, but at one point the condom broke, and there was brief contact with vaginal fluids. The condom was replaced and intercourse resumed. A few days later I noticed a very slight burning with urination and a continual urge to pee. I went to the doctor, he gave me a uti anti-biotic, it cleared up, and I was one my way. Now, a month later, I am experiencing symptoms very similar to mono (which I had a year ago.) I realize these are the same symptoms as hiv, which appear around this time, or so I have read. Is it possible I contracted hiv? Clearly I am getting tested, but I am hoping the chances of getting hiv (assuming she even had it - she did seem pretty crazy and I later found out had slept with 20 some guys) are slim.
