Q: Ovarian Pain

I have moderate pain in my right ovary every month during ovulation that has been going on for probably 2 years. I have had a laperoscopy for my endometriosis and they found nothing on either of my ovaries. I have just figured I was sensitive to ovulation, but why only my right ovary and why every month and not every other month? What else could it be? Thank you. Leslie

Ovarian Pain
Hi
I was told by my gynacologist that every month round about ovulation time most women develop a small cyst and this is what causes th pain nearly all of these cysts disappear within a couple of days unless you're unlucky and they grow, this could be what you are experiencing. Hope this helps

It's like we belong to some club that none of us signed up for. I posted earlier about my ovarian issues. I jsut finished my first cycle of birth control pills, and not only have I noticed no improvment, but the suckers are actualy getting bigger. I'll be having an ultra sound in about three weeks so as to get a better idea of what going on down in all my plumbing. I suggest looking into doing the same thing. Wish you well, take care

Need Some Advice
Hi, not sure if I have the same thing. Last month I had pain around my fallopian tube area that lasted 10 days, 8 days on left and last 2 days on right. I was very bloated and tired during this time as well. For 2 weeks prior to that I had twinges in my cervix area.

When I told my doctor about this she did nothing, and tried to tell me that I had gas. Like I would confuse these pains with gas. Unfortunately I am currently living in london and it is extremely difficult to change doctors due to the shortages here.

Can anyone tell me whether they have similar symptoms?

Thanks

mary h

Extremely eHealthy
Hey mary-i was fobbed off with the same thing & was told it was 'gas' but the pain was unbearable at times. It comes and goes-usually in the left ovary.I'd grit my teeth the pain was so bad-like someone stabbing ur ovary constantly.I had an ultrasound but they couldnt see my ovaries (they were hidden by my 'large bowel'!!) so I had an internal to which I was told I may have had cysts at some stage.
I am on the pill and apparently this is a contributing factor.Im not sure. Its not as frequent or bad as it used to be thank god.

Honey if you have endometriosis that has a lot to do with it. This disease can cause horrible unexplainable pain. Also, the first post was right, most people do develop a small cyst at a certain time that fills up and then drains. This could hurt you. I also have the pain on the right side and I do not understand why it is on this side, but everyone is different. I do not know what to tell you to get rid of it, because I have not found anything.
As for the bc pill thing, it takes your body three months to fully accept a new pill, so it would probably not be helping yet. Give it time.

It sounds like you have adenmyosis..I was like ok he was even checking for cancer . Well he was right no Cancer but my uterus was funky, as he says . it was adenmyosis .. i suffered for at least 13 years.I still have my ovaries .So their is still breast tenderness but it seems like everyother month . it has only been 8 weeks.
