I have a friend who is starting to experience periods of complete memory loss, as in she suddenly doesn't know where she is or what she's doing. She's also mentioned seeing white spots and having trouble breathing.

I told her to ask questions, and the doctors said it seems like she could have early mental deterioration

she's a brilliant girl with a really bright future, and I can't accept something like this happenning to her. I'm really terrified right now, but i'm trying not to show it. Is there any information people have or know where I can get some?

Specifically i'm looking for
1. What is this, technically
2. What are the possible solutions, what would ease the symptoms
3. What should I be doing to help her
4. Any other useful information

right now we're not thinkging about it, I don't blame her either, but I don't want her to go into a depression over this, I know i'd be lost if it was happening to me. Any advice would be very much appreciated

thanks
