I'd just like to say that i've been on the depo shot for almost a week now and I am doing great! With some mild side effects, but great!

Lol. Funny, just before this, I wrote out this whole post on my experience so far and it got deleted. I went to add option for the poll option, and it made me sign in again. Wow! So maybe, when I get another chance I will post the whole story to show people that not every depo shot experience is a horror story! Lol!!!!

I'm on ortho-lo, and aside from an accident involving travel, forgetting one pack and getting another, i've been absolutely fine as well :) I love that it relieves my cramps! My period was always light so that wasn't much to me... But I always had extreme acne. The pill helped with that too!

Hey, I think it's cool that there is someone else that has had no problems with their birth control. Makes me feel, not so alone. ^_^ lol.

Dont get your hopes up too high, you have only been on the shot for a week, not alot can happen, just give it time, and I bet you money you will be wishing you never done it. I was on it for two years and regret it and everyone else I know that has ever been on it hated it and has been having problems since. But I wish you all the luck with depo though

hey i'd love to read your experience. Im going on depo in 2 weeks and reading alot of stuff on it. Now im scared because so many people dont like the effect it has on them. Im very sensitive but my dr assures me id be better off on depo, so im praying...How u going now??

Yup
I was on the depo for two years. And I t was wonderful. I did not have a period for two years(score) lol. Just make sure you get alot of calcium. I am bi polar and the depo actual evened out my mood swings. It was nice not to have to take the drug the depo was enough. :d Smile Cool the drugs just make a zombie I could not do anything at all.

I had bad side effects from the depo and so did several of my friends. 2 of them including myself gained massive weight. I gained 90 pounds in a year my other friends gained anywhere from 20 to 50 pounds. Another friend of mine lost weight so rapidly and to much for her frame she was almost hospitalized. Her lowest weight was 89 pounds. (iwish I had that side effect instead I can afford to lose a few!!!) anyway I had several other side effects such as my husband thinking I was having an affair because I wouldn't have sex with him so he thought I was getting it from somewhere else. But in all actuality I had no desire in fact the whole thought of it was repulsive!!!!! I also had extremly bad mood swings from being happy, to crying, angry then back to happy again in a matter of 30min. There is plenty more but I won't go on and on but if you want to know more you could always pm me and we can talk!!!!

i am also very sensitive. I was first put on the pill, I have never thrown up that much in my life. I have been in on depo for little over a year now with no side effects.
