I was diagnosed last december with a herniated cervical disk. I was in alot of pain for about three months, with numbness and weakness in my right arm and hand.
Well, thankfully, it healed on its own, which the doctors said would happen if I waited it out. Thankfully, I never had to have surgery or even physical therapy. Just rest and muscle relaxers, lol . It gradually got better and now i'm pain free, unless I do really strenuous work (in the yard, etc.) but the pain is only mild.
Now...Here is what i'm worried about. It will be my first winter since I was diagnosed and i'm afraid that I will injure myself again when the cold weather returns.
Have any of you had any experience with pain worsening when the temperature drops? I don't want to hurt the way I did last time. It seemed like it would never go away.
Any information and advice is greatly appreciated. Thanks!!
