Has anyone gotten raped and found it hard to even have a sexual life? Its hard at first but for some people who get raped end up never even having sex. For others they get to be to sexual its a hard thing to deal with. I went to [removed] for help. Its a good website but im too afraid to ask this question to people who have been through rape because sex is a hard topic to talk about. I should know im a recovering rape victim myself but im a bit more open than others. So here is my question is do you normal people who have not gotten rape is it true that if you don't have sex it is that you loose it. I heard the saying if you don't loose it you loose it. Is it bad if you have the desire to have sex but don't get to?

Thank you

I was raped when I was 16 years old. I didn't have sex again until recently ( about 5 months ago ) and as far as i'm concerned it hasn't really affected me sexually. It has, however, affected the way that I trust people (males specifically) and i'm naturally really apprehensive about males but, when I actually do build that trust.. Sex is not an issue for me.

that's too bad, I hope things get better for you. I hope your trust level gets to the point that you could trust males again, although I know that'll be hard.

i was raped by my husband when i was pregnant he was beating me and raping me i felt sick and i was crying. i went to the bath and start vomiting. After a while i hated sex even when im hot when my husband approach me i loss my interest in sex i never reached orgasm. i rather masturbate than sleep with him my relationship with him is a total mess we don't have sex and he wants a divorce it been years now.but am ok. i don't think i would have a problem with sex generaly unless it got to do with him.

Being raped has ruined a lot of things for me, like trust issues and low self esteem. but Ive finally met that one man i can truly trust and actually want sex with, but you must know everyone deals with those pains differently and some never get over it... sadly, but it happens. It just depends on the individual if sex ever becomes an issue.

I was absued as a child..It did many things to me and such things such as music, odor and site of a male organ gave me really bad dreams..Thankfully there is a but-with the kindness of my husband the dreams faded over time..Sex is wonderful and he sees to it that I am never hurt..
