You need to up your fibre and drink plenty of water.
Prunes and prune juice is an excellent source of fibre that will make you regular as are bran cereals and multigrain breads.

You may also want to make an appointment with your dr to have checkup and to cancel out any serious problems. You should always have yourself checked if you have blood in your stools. This may be the case if you are straining causing the blood vessels to burst or if you have hemorrhoids, but please have it checked.
