I have a question refering to the different pills in ortho tri cyclen. There are 7 white pills, 7 light blue pills, and 7 blue pills.. I want to know .. Do all of the white pills for example have the same hormones in them? Or is every single pill different??

Is it extremely important that I take the pills in order??

Each set of colors has a different amount of horomones, in order to more accurately mimic a woman's monthly cycle. Thus, it is imperative that you take them in order. If you lose one, (because those buggers are small!) do what I do: open up a different pack, and remove the specific pill that you're on. Save that pack as you "back-up" pack, and any time you lose a pill, or can't find one but swear you haven' taken it yet, you can use it. Technicaly, every white pill has the same amount, so if for some reason you just took all of the white pills in random order one week, then all the light blue pills in random order, then all the dark pills in random order... As long as you took the same color each seperate week you'd be fine. But that's silly, they're in a nice circle for you, so take them they way they're packaged!

Thanks! You answered my question exactly. I was just curious because i've been spotting for a long while.. And as I neared the last of my blue pills I started spotting heavier and cramping and I was just wondering if my body could tell the difference between every specific pill.. Thanks for the reply!

Yep! Your body totally does react differently to each week of pills. I have variable vaginal discharge each week xd

You need to read the booklet. You hve to take it in the order it's given. There's a little mark that tells you where to start.

I'd change the pill if you are getting bad cramps. You said cramps, not sure how bad they are. I took ortho tricyclen lo and the blue pills effected me a lot.
