I'm really not sure if this belongs here, but I couldn't find any forum that was relevant to this.
Occasionally i'll get a sharp and sudden pain on the left side of my abdomen. It's just below the rib cage, but I don't think it's low enough to include my ovaries.
By occasionally, I mean once every month or two months; and it just started around the beginning of this year. There are no other symptoms and no residual pain, it's pretty much just a sharp stabbing pain that lasts for less than a second. I thought maybe it could be I was feeling an egg release or something, because i've read some women can feel that, but it's only every so often and it's rather high to be that. It just happened about a half hour ago, again, which is why I ask. But just in case it's relevant: my period just stopped the week before.
I wouldn't worry or think about it, it's just that it's happened several times before and in the exact same place. It happens when I happen to be sitting slouched or laying down with my tummy curved in and when I straighten back out is when the pain occurs.
Has anyone ever experienced anything similar to this? Or do you have any advice to offer? If you do, I would be very greatful.
