Q: the Pill And Shisha Hookah Tobacco

My girl friend is on oral birth control pills and was wondering if smoking shisha tobacco out of a hookah poses the same threats as smoking cigs, such as blood clots? I know that cigs have hundreds of more bad chemicals in them so I thought it would be a good question.
