Hello,

my 7 week old baby always has really cold hands. I put mittens on her or jumpsuits with the cuffs that fold down but they are still freezing when I take them off? Does anyone have any ideas on how to keep them warm? Or what causes this?

Babies cant control their temperature at such a young age. My four week old baby gets very cold hands and feet but is an oven everywhere else. If you're worried about your baby being cold, check its chest to see if its cold. But try not to worry and keep doing the things you're doing like putting mittens on etc. If you are worried see your gp good luck

Cold Baby
Hand and feet can feel pretty cold, babies don't have the best circulation.
Generally they are happiest if the room they are in is about 22-26 degrees celcius.

If heating is not a viable option (like if you are outside, or don't want to be restricted to the one room of your house!) try a warm little hat. Babies lose most heat through their heads.

Ya my baby is like that too. His hands and feet get cold sometimes but the rest of his body is warm.

I just went to a baby care class tonight and they talked about this. To judge whether your baby is too hot or too cold feel his chest or back. Cold hands and feet are not uncommon.
