I have heard of one where you tie a needle to the end of a string and let it drop just above your tummy, and if it swings it's a boy and if it goes in a circular motion it's a girl. Tho I may have that mixed up so i'm no help lol. Try to google it once, there's bound to be something like that somewhere on the world wide web

I'm sure you already know this but...

Even though there are fun little games like this to finding out the baby's sex, it's just a myth. There is no way to finding out a baby's sex unless through an ultrasound.

Have you tried that ancient .Chinese chart which determines the sex of your baby by the month of conception and the mother's age? It's supposed to be 90% correct or something. Try .Googling it. It was right for my son but it's probably all nonsense. Bit of fun though!

a couple people said this but in fact you can also find out by having the baby's amniotic sac fluid tested for x/y chromosomes.

Obviously u/s is more common but it still is 100% right 100% of the time.

that chart is freaky. It was right for me, my best friend, her sister, etc.. I mean the list goes on. I know it's not right for everyone (lol) but it was right for us! Strange...

I wanted to try the chinese gender predictor.. But the minimum age on it is 18, and I conceived at 17! Very annoying..

Yeah...That chinese calendar thing was wrong for me. Since I when I was 19 (turned 20 5 days later) when I conceived it said I would have a boy.

But i'm having a girl! (well...Lets hope the u/s tech was right!)

When I did the chineese chart, it said it was a boy. I got my first ultrasound at 22 weeks and the doctor said it was a boy.

I didn't believe that it was a boy, so I had to pay for another one. A month later I found out it was a girl. I was scheduled to have another one at 37 weeks to make sure, but I didn't last. I had my daughter at 37 weeks.

We were sooo nervous because we had painted her room pink and put sparkles on the ceiling and had a "girl" baby shower!!

So when she came out and they said it's a girl, everyone sighed in relief!!!!!

So, to me, the only for sure way to know is to deliver your baby!!

How come you didn't believe it was a boy, .Sarah? Was it just your instinct?

My sonographer wasn't 100% sure (she was moody and didn't seem to wanna check properly for some reason) but said "well I think it's a girl.. If you wanna buy all pink then it's up to you". I'd had a feeling since day one that I was having a girl.. So i'm pretty certain.

Honestly, I don't know. I just told my fiance not to get his hopes up cuz I just had a feeling. Of course he did and when he found out it was a girl, he stomped his feet. But when she was born he got a new love of his life!!

their old wives tales. Nothing else. Their fun, but have nothing to do with the babies gender. There is no way the presence of a vagina or penis can control the direction in which a ring on a string sways. All that proves is that physics is alive and well.

I hope you are doing these for fun and not really thinking they are accurate, I 'm not sure from reading your posts!

My husband and I did the string one for fun. And I honestly don't recall what it supposedly predicted for us, but we ended up with a baby girl. Exactly what we were hoping for. Even tho a boy would have been just as lovely.

if it ever was right, then it was all just a cawensadence (sp). It is impossible to get a baby's gender by a string and a ring.

*sp coincidence
